Neil O'Brien, MP for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston met with representatives of the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP) on Friday 12th January 2018, to discuss various facets of local economic development.
As part of the meeting, the local industrial strategy was discussed alongside other key developments such as Growth Deal funding and sector strengths. The meeting was also attended by Leicestershire County Council and Leicester City Council.
Neil O'Brien said: "this was a very useful meeting and I'm grateful to the LLEP and both the County and City Councils for the helpful updates they provided.
Leicestershire is a fantastic place to live, work, invest and visit - and it's great to see the key partners working together to ensure we take advantage of the opportunities this presents.
I look forward to working closely with these organisations going forward, particularly to help develop a strong local industrial strategy, to help make our case for further devolution of responsibilities and funding from central Government."
